Quotations
Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue and are based on the inventory, addresses and access described at the time of quoting. If the volume, addresses or access change materially, we will re-quote and tell you before the move rather than after it.
Booking and payment
A 50% deposit confirms your date. The balance is payable on completion of loading and before offload, unless other terms have been agreed in writing. We accept EFT, card and cash, and issue a tax invoice for every job.
Cancellation
Cancellations more than 7 days before the move are refunded in full. Between 7 days and 48 hours, half the deposit is retained to cover the reserved slot. Inside 48 hours, the deposit is retained. Postponements are accommodated free of charge subject to availability.
What we will not carry
We may not lawfully transport petrol, gas cylinders, paint thinners, fireworks or other flammable or explosive goods. We also decline perishable food, live plants on interprovincial routes, animals, and loose cash, jewellery or documents of value. Firearms must be transported by the licence holder.
Insurance and liability
Goods-in-transit cover applies to every load. Optional all-risk cover is available on a declared replacement value and must be arranged before the move. Items packed by the customer are covered for transit events but not for damage arising from the manner in which they were packed.
Damage claims
Any damage must be noted on the delivery sheet before the crew leaves the premises and reported to the office the same day. We will acknowledge a claim within one working day and respond with a repair, replacement or settlement position within two working days of receiving the photographs and the completed claim form.
Access and delays
You are responsible for arranging move permits, lift bookings, security clearance and parking where a building or estate requires them. Where a crew is unable to work because access has not been arranged, standing time is charged at the labour rate per crew hour.
Storage
Storage is billed monthly in advance with a one-month minimum. Goods are released once the account is settled in full. We require 48 hours' notice to retrieve items from a sealed vault.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Nothing in them limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008.
